Job Summary:
Under administrative direction of the Superintendent of Facilities Maintenance & Operations, assists in the daily operations and management of the division. Plans, supervises and directs building maintenance operations. Inspects job sites and insures the timely and accurate completion of work. Assists in development of annual budget, manpower estimates, recruitment and training. Advises subordinate supervisors. Requisitions supplies and maintains all required files and documents. Develops liaisons with contractors. Assists in maintenance of timecards, overtime payroll, building plans and blueprints. Maintains records of fire and building code inspections. Receives and evaluates work orders. Operates a County vehicle. Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, or a closely related field. Must possess 5 years journey level work experience in one or more of the construction trades and related operations; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. Possess ability to plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the work of others. Possess knowledge of the operation, repair and maintenance of buildings and their appearances. Possess the ability to estimate costs and quantities of labor, material and equipment. Possess knowledge of budgeting processes. Possess knowledge of air conditioning, heating and electrical systems. Possess ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and blueprints. Possess excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills. Must be able to prepare and maintain complex reports and records. Must be able to utilize a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Office. Must be available for on-call duty during non-working hours, holidays, and weekends. Must use personal transportation to respond. Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license. Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs law enforcement and public safety work in the custody and security of jail inmates. Position requires close physical contact with inmates and direct contact with the public. Position is one of possible high stress and verbal and/or physical confrontations. Position requires that the candidate should be able to respond to any location within the jail by running. Position requires that the candidate should be able to successfully rescue an unconscious/injured officer by moving them to a safe location. Position also requires lifting (at times heavy). Written reports and mathematical calculations are required. Communication skills are critical to performance of duties. Candidates must be able to follow written and verbal directions, and work different shifts as assigned. Candidates must be able to perform multiple tasks successfully under different degrees of circumstances. The Chatham County Sheriff's Department supervises inmates under the "Direct Supervision" concept. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (no online high school diplomas), supplemented by three (3) years work experience involving public contact; or equivalent combination of training and experience; ability to complete Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification for Jail and Peace Officer. Valid driver's license; must be at least 20 years of age. Physical ability to defend against inmate attack, ability to lift approx 20 lbs.; ability to push loaded carts; ability to climb stairs. Vision requirement must be 20/20 or 20/40 corrected. Effective January 1, 2007, there is a physical agility test that is required by candidates for the position. The agility test requires candidates to run 900 feet and to successfully drag a 160 pound dummy approx. 40 feet. This is a one time entry level test. Special Requirements: Must undergo physical psychological and psychometric tests, observed urinalysis drug screening and background investigation (charges involving drugs or moral turpitude may disqualify candidates), driver's history (a record of numerous traffic infractions or pattern of disregard for traffic laws may disqualify candidates), and credit check. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR certification as required. Job Summary:
Under supervision of the Court Administrator and/or the Deputy Court Administrator II administers and coordinates all Court services to ensure each is in compliance with all court policies and procedures. Assists in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and evaluating of the assigned programs to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness. Programs may include, but are not limited to; the Accountability Courts, Guardian Ad Litem Program, Interpreter Program, Court Reporting, Jury Services, Case Management, Court Technology and other Court programs. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Criminal Justice or a closely related field from a recognized university, supplemented by five (5) years progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in a public agency or business, preferably located in a Court environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Possess working knowledge of office management techniques and principles, workflow, work simplification and records control, production, record systems, data processing and electronic information processing systems. Possess strong knowledge of public finance, including budgeting and statistics, and principles of analysis, and preferably have working knowledge of the justice system and Georgia Court rules and procedures. Must be able to analyze and evaluate office operations, production, work flow, forms, record systems, staff utilization and related workload performance. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral, written and problem solving skills.
