Job Summary:
Under supervision of the Program Coordinator, prepares lesson plans and provides swimming instruction to students according to curriculum for the various courses, levels and ages. Must arrive fifteen minutes prior to class and clean equipment up after class. Monitors and maintains records of student progress. Maintains equipments assuring proper working order. Participates in in-service training. Handles complaints in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of sixteen (16) years of age. Instructors must take and pass the StarFish Swim School Instructor Course. Position requires certification in First Aid and CPR training. Must be willing to learn and adhere to all related guidelines, rules and regulations and required training. Possess ability to provide instruction/training to patrons. Must be able to maintain good customer and employee relations.

Job Summary:
Performs complex, diverse administrative support duties. Ensures efficient clerical procedures and records management. Prepares a variety of legal correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, subpoenas, motions, continuances, stipulations, resolutions contracts, interrogatories, legal opinions, and briefs utilizing a variety of software applications. Proofreads and edits correspondence, reports, and other related materials for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures and standards. Process a variety of civil actions in conformance with court procedures. Indexes, files, locate, and researches correspondence, legal opinions, court decisions, and other related documents. Assists in the preparation of agenda, bulletins, reports, correspondence, and other materials. Researches and summarizes data for reports and meetings. Compiles and assembles various legal materials from files and other sources. Screens mails, telephone calls, and visitors to determine the nature and urgency of business and exercises judgment in referring them to staff. Maintains a calendar of office activities, court dates, meetings, and other events. Prepares necessary travel and reimbursements documents for staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Work requires initiative, independent judgment and discretion.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in criminal justice (bachelor’s degree preferred), and three years of experience performing a variety of legal administrative assistance or legal secretarial duties, or an equivalent combination of training and experience to include five years of experience performing a variety of legal administrative assistance or legal secretarial duties. Possess working knowledge of current computer software. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. Must pass security background check. Clerical Testing Required; minimum 50 wpm typing. Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs law enforcement and public safety work in the custody and security of jail inmates. Position requires close physical contact with inmates and direct contact with the public. Position is one of possible high stress and verbal and/or physical confrontations. Position requires that the candidate should be able to respond to any location within the jail by running. Position requires that the candidate should be able to successfully rescue an unconscious/injured officer by moving them to a safe location. Position also requires lifting (at times heavy). Written reports and mathematical calculations are required. Communication skills are critical to performance of duties. Candidates must be able to follow written and verbal directions, and work different shifts as assigned. Candidates must be able to perform multiple tasks successfully under different degrees of circumstances. The Chatham County Sheriff's Department supervises inmates under the "Direct Supervision" concept. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (no online high school diplomas), supplemented by three (3) years work experience involving public contact; or equivalent combination of training and experience; ability to complete Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification for Jail and Peace Officer. Valid driver's license; must be at least 20 years of age. Physical ability to defend against inmate attack, ability to lift approx 20 lbs.; ability to push loaded carts; ability to climb stairs. Vision requirement must be 20/20 or 20/40 corrected. Effective January 1, 2007, there is a physical agility test that is required by candidates for the position. The agility test requires candidates to run 900 feet and to successfully drag a 160 pound dummy approx. 40 feet. This is a one time entry level test. Special Requirements: Must undergo physical psychological and psychometric tests, observed urinalysis drug screening and background investigation (charges involving drugs or moral turpitude may disqualify candidates), driver's history (a record of numerous traffic infractions or pattern of disregard for traffic laws may disqualify candidates), and credit check. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR certification as required. Provides weekly and monthly training of lifeguards. Monitors weather conditions for pool safety. Assists in lifeguard duties as needed. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by three (3) years lifeguarding experience. Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and StarGuard or American Red Cross training. Job Summary:
Under general supervision, leads, assigns/schedules, coordinates, reviews and participates in the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of traffic and road signs and pavement markings. Maintains proper controls on labor, equipment and materials used to inspect the County traffic, road signs and pavement markings to determine the extent of needed maintenance, repair and replacement of existing traffic, road signs and pavement markings. Estimates materials, labor and equipment needed; assigns equipment for maximum utilization, promotes job safety and accident prevention. Directs emergency repair operations, operates associated equipment, ensures proper maintenance and upkeep of assigned equipment. Oversees and participates in preparation, completion and maintenance of records, reports and correspondence. Employee will be a member of the Critical Work Force and will be required to respond in case of emergency. Performs other work as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, supplemented by four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in road and traffic sign fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair, as well as exposure to road striping and pavement marking, with at least one (1) year as a lead preferred. Possess at least one (1) year experience with traffic work zone setup and knowledge of hazards and safety precautions. Must be able to lead, assign, coordinate and the review the work of assigned staff. Must be able to accurately estimate costs, time, equipment and materials needed for road and traffic sign and pavement markings. Must be able to inspect traffic and road signs and perform or direct the work of others in the performance of duties. Must be physically able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, climb and lift 50 lbs. Must be physically able to withstand exposure to heat, noise, outdoors, chemicals, vibration, mechanical and electrical hazards. Must be able to distinguish colors and sounds. Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma, supplemented by three (3) years as a technician in the storm and/or sanitary sewer industry; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess a valid Georgia Commercial Drivers License Class B with Tanker Endorsement within six (6) months of employment. Possess the ability to obtain a Georgia Safety Council Flagger’s License within one (1) year of employment. Must be certified as a Level II Plan Reviewer for Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control in the State of Georgia at the time of employment. Possess the ability to lift approx. 80 lbs.
