Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of administrative support, and basic accounts processing and financial recording duties. Receives, records, reconciles, and deposits collected departmental revenues. Ensures proper receipting of fees and maintains accurate records. Assists customers by phone and in person.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, supplemented by college level course work in Accounting, Bookkeeping or closely related field, and one (1) year of typing and/or general clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must be able to input data, type and file accurately. Must be able to work any shift. Job Summary:
Under administrative direction of the Superintendent of Facilities Maintenance & Operations, assists in the daily operations and management of the division. Plans, supervises and directs building maintenance operations. Inspects job sites and insures the timely and accurate completion of work. Assists in development of annual budget, manpower estimates, recruitment and training. Advises subordinate supervisors. Requisitions supplies and maintains all required files and documents. Develops liaisons with contractors. Assists in maintenance of timecards, overtime payroll, building plans and blueprints. Maintains records of fire and building code inspections. Receives and evaluates work orders. Operates a County vehicle. Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, or a closely related field. Must possess 5 years journey level work experience in one or more of the construction trades and related operations; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. Possess ability to plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the work of others. Possess knowledge of the operation, repair and maintenance of buildings and their appearances. Possess the ability to estimate costs and quantities of labor, material and equipment. Possess knowledge of budgeting processes. Possess knowledge of air conditioning, heating and electrical systems. Possess ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and blueprints. Possess excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills. Must be able to prepare and maintain complex reports and records. Must be able to utilize a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Office. Must be available for on-call duty during non-working hours, holidays, and weekends. Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs law enforcement and public safety work in the custody and security of jail inmates. Position requires close physical contact with inmates and direct contact with the public. Position is one of possible high stress and verbal and/or physical confrontations. Position requires that the candidate should be able to respond to any location within the jail by running. Position requires that the candidate should be able to successfully rescue an unconscious/injured officer by moving them to a safe location. Position also requires lifting (at times heavy). Written reports and mathematical calculations are required. Communication skills are critical to performance of duties. Candidates must be able to follow written and verbal directions, and work different shifts as assigned. Candidates must be able to perform multiple tasks successfully under different degrees of circumstances. The Chatham County Sheriff's Department supervises inmates under the "Direct Supervision" concept. This requires candidates to work under conditions requiring direct contact and supervision of inmates for an entire shift. *Notice: A conditional written agreement is required for this position. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (no online high school diplomas), supplemented by three (3) years work experience involving public contact; or equivalent combination of training and experience; ability to complete Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification for Jail and Peace Officer. Valid driver's license; must be at least 20 years of age. Physical ability to defend against inmate attack, ability to lift approx 20 lbs.; ability to push loaded carts; ability to climb stairs. Vision requirement must be 20/20 or 20/40 corrected. Effective January 1, 2007, there is a physical agility test that is required by candidates for the position. The agility test requires candidates to run 900 feet and to successfully drag a 160 pound dummy approx. 40 feet. This is a one time entry level test. Special Requirements: Must undergo physical psychological and psychometric tests, observed urinalysis drug screening and background investigation (charges involving drugs or moral turpitude may disqualify candidates), driver's history (a record of numerous traffic infractions or pattern of disregard for traffic laws may disqualify candidates), and credit check. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR certification as required. Applicants must submit copies of last seven (7) years driver's history for all states candidates possessed a license, birth certificate, high school diploma or GED certificate, social security card, all applicable documentation of relevant training and DD214 long form if applicable, current marriage license and all divorce decrees, and dispositions of any arrests with application to be eligible for testing. Job Summary:
Under general supervision, leads, assigns/schedules, coordinates, reviews and participates in the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of traffic and road signs and pavement markings. Maintains proper controls on labor, equipment and materials used to inspect the County traffic, road signs and pavement markings to determine the extent of needed maintenance, repair and replacement of existing traffic, road signs and pavement markings. Estimates materials, labor and equipment needed. Assigns equipment for maximum utilization, promotes job safety and accident prevention. Directs emergency repair operations, operates associated equipment, and ensures proper maintenance and upkeep of assigned equipment. Oversees and participates in preparation, completion and maintenance of records, reports and correspondence. Employee will be a member of the Critical Work Force and will be required to respond in case of emergency. Performs other work as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, supplemented by four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in road and traffic sign fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair, as well as exposure to road striping and pavement marking, with at least one (1) year as a lead preferred. Possess at least one (1) year experience with traffic work zone setup and knowledge of hazards and safety precautions. Must be able to lead, assign, coordinate and the review the work of assigned staff. Must be able to accurately estimate costs, time, equipment and materials needed for road and traffic sign and pavement markings. Must be able to inspect traffic and road signs and perform or direct the work of others in the performance of duties. Must be physically able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, climb and lift 50 lbs. Must be physically able to withstand exposure to heat, noise, outdoors, chemicals, vibration, mechanical and electrical hazards. Must be able to distinguish colors and sounds. Must be able to work weekends and after normal business hours. Must possess a valid Class B commercial driver’s license. Job Summary:
Under general supervision by the Network Technician Supervisor, performs technical work in planning, coordinating and conducting the installation, maintenance and repair of computer and/or telecommunications equipment in support of Chatham County. Receives and installs desktop technology components such as personal computers, monitors, scanners, printers and associated software. Configures new equipment for department-specific duties. Tests functionality of new equipment and integration with existing systems and software making necessary adjustments. Provides end-user support, training and advice on all client-side computer hardware and software. Assists the help desk by taking service desk calls to investigate, categorize, and resolve incidents, or escalate as necessary. Utilizes work order system to document problems, communicates resolution of problems, and provides training to other technicians. May be assigned minor or major projects by the Network Technician Supervisor. May serve as an assistant/backup for another Network Technician. May be responsible for and accountable for a supporting IT service. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree required; supplemented by two (2) years experience in communications systems, operating system maintenance, hardware and software troubleshooting; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Must have experience supporting applications and hardware within a Microsoft Windows environment. Must have experience in a networked environment. Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and has the ability to collaborate and work as a team.
