Job Summary:
Under direction of the Program Manager, is responsible for recruitment for this job-readiness training program of participants from the high poverty census tracts with special attention to high-risk populations. Maintains full and accurate records and reports on participants, training sessions and distributes as required and directed. Integrates with Centers for Working Families network by assisting staff at community centers. Enters data/participant records into the Efforts to Outcomes database system, reviews and analyzes reports. Interfaces and builds business relationships as directed. Provides follow-up tracking on all participants at regularly defined intervals. Participates in program planning/assessment/progress meetings with supervisor, training team members and others as requested. Interfaces with Savannah Technical College requirements for registration, financial aid, etc., for CAP participants. Provides supportive tasks as needed for a participant to successfully complete CAP, including special events as they occur. Performs other work as requested by Program Manager and Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
Some college education, supplemented by at least five (5) years’ experience in working with “high risk adults”. Possess experience as a social worker. Case management and coaching concept experience is a plus. Possess good communication skills and working knowledge of basic computer software. Must be able to perform in stressful situations and exercise good judgment. Must possess sufficient strength, stamina, ability, hearing and vision to perform all duties without assistance.

Job Summary:
Under direction of the County Engineer, conducts construction inspection activities for road improvement projects to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations and approved construction documents. Inspects multiple projects throughout the County on a daily basis and documenting all construction activities for each site. Projects include, but are not limited to, road widening, new roadways, traffic signal upgrades and new installations, intersections improvements, bridge replacements, parking lot construction and pedestrian improvements. Notifies appropriate others of errors, omissions and violations during construction, discusses corrective options; issues violations; documents findings and recommended solutions. Performs traffic, erosion control and other inspections assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is required, (5) years of experience in road construction inspection; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data. Ability to safely walk on rough terrain, and climb using good eye/hand/foot coordination. Possess effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, interpret and apply construction standards and specifications for road improvement projects from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and County Engineering Policy. Must be able to learn, comprehend, and apply all County and departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position. GDOT Construction inspection experience preferred. Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain valid Level IA and IB Soil Erosion Control certifications. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs law enforcement and public safety work in the custody and security of jail inmates. Position requires close physical contact with inmates and direct contact with the public. Position is one of possible high stress and verbal and/or physical confrontations. Position requires that the candidate should be able to respond to any location within the jail by running. Position requires that the candidate should be able to successfully rescue an unconscious/injured officer by moving them to a safe location. Position also requires lifting (at times heavy). Written reports and mathematical calculations are required. Communication skills are critical to performance of duties. Candidates must be able to follow written and verbal directions, and work different shifts as assigned. Candidates must be able to perform multiple tasks successfully under different degrees of circumstances. The Chatham County Sheriff's Department supervises inmates under the "Direct Supervision" concept. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (no online high school diplomas), supplemented by three (3) years work experience involving public contact; or equivalent combination of training and experience; ability to complete Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification for Jail and Peace Officer. Valid driver's license; must be at least 20 years of age. Physical ability to defend against inmate attack, ability to lift approx 20 lbs.; ability to push loaded carts; ability to climb stairs. Vision requirement must be 20/20 or 20/40 corrected. Effective January 1, 2007, there is a physical agility test that is required by candidates for the position. The agility test requires candidates to run 900 feet and to successfully drag a 160 pound dummy approx. 40 feet. This is a one time entry level test. Special Requirements: Must undergo physical psychological and psychometric tests, observed urinalysis drug screening and background investigation (charges involving drugs or moral turpitude may disqualify candidates), driver's history (a record of numerous traffic infractions or pattern of disregard for traffic laws may disqualify candidates), and credit check. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR certification as required.
