Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Animal Control
The mission of the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Animal Control Unit is to enforce the state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community in responsible pet ownership; and provide for the housing and care of homeless animals and coordinate their adoption with local rescue organizations, or their humane euthanization when adoption is not possible.
We are open to the public on most holidays with only few exceptions: Christmas, Thankgiving Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. The Animal Control Officers are available for "emergency" call outs only and the shelter is closed to the public.
We are now on Petfinder. Stop by and look at our pet list, and check it often. We can only save animals for a few days - so please save a life today! Click here to see our pet list

Looking for a pet? Check with us first and save a life. We get a lot of animals that we can adopt out. However, because so many shelters are full, we don't have places to send all the animals we take in. Come see us, select a new companion, and let us arrange for adoption through one of our rescue groups.
Warning: These are just for fun!
