Commissioner Odell joined the Chatham County Commission in 1995.  He has served the community as former president of Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club, former president of Savannah Trial Lawyers Association, former president of the Port City Bar Association, former vice president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and former vice president of Tidelands Community Mental Health Board. Odell has a B.S. in Psychology, an M.S. in Guidance and Counseling, a Master's of Public Health-Health Care Administration and a J.D. law degree.  Commissioner Odell has had four articles published by the American Management Association.  Odell has served as Business Manager at Meharry Medical College; Director of Human Resources at Memorial Medical Center and as a Corporate Trainer.  He has been in private practice for 23 years in the general practice of law which includes personal injury, workers' compensation, medical malpractice, criminal and domestic relations. He and his wife Tabitha are the parents of five children.
