POSITION: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I (3 Seasonal Positions)
DEPARTMENT: Public Works and Park Services
SALARY RANGE: $9.60 - $14.11/Hr.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, operates light weight trucks or other light weight motorized equipment in maintenance, such as tractor/mowers, construction or sanitation work; includes night and weekend work in emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of eighth grade, supplemented by six months work experience in the operation of light weight trucks or related automotive equipment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to work in all weather conditions and to perform heavy manual labor, lifting, pulling, manual transporting, etc. High school diploma or equivalent desired for promotion eligibility. GA drivers license required upon hire. Pre-employment physical and background security check. Employee required to provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during normal working hours. |
