POSITION: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
SALARY RANGE: $19,965 - $29,343
APPLY BY: Until Filled
Job Summary: Under general supervision, operates light weight trucks or other light weight motorized equipment in maintenance, construction or sanitation work; includes night and weekend work in emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of eighth grade, supplemented by six months work experience in the operation of light weight trucks or related automotive equipment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to work in all weather conditions and to perform heavy manual labor, lifting, pulling, manual transporting, etc. High school diploma or equivalent desired for promotion eligibility. Ability to obtain GA Safety Council Flagger's License within one year of employment. Possession of valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at time of employment. Pre-employment physical and background security check. Employee required to provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during normal working hours. |
